About Jessica Ann Ripp

I have always had a deep passion for literature and the magic of words. Growing up, I was lucky to experience a childhood filled with wonder, creativity, and imagination—moments that continue to inspire the stories I write today. I’m inspired by the magic we create in the everyday and the beauty of simple, meaningful connections.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology and K-6 teaching certification from Ramapo College of New Jersey and spent several years teaching fourth grade, primarily focusing on language arts and social studies. Teaching has shaped how I approach writing for young readers, helping me craft stories that inspire curiosity and connection. I’m also completing my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the American College of Education.

It has always been a lifelong dream of mine to publish children’s books, but it was only after the passing of my grandmother that I became dedicated to turning my ideas and imagination into stories. Her love and lessons have guided me through this journey, and I’m excited for what the future will bring.

As a mom to a young daughter, I find so much joy in the magic of childhood, and I love capturing that magic in my books. My stories aim to spark imagination in children while helping parents and caregivers rediscover the beauty of their own cherished memories.

So far, I’ve written Big Girl, Big Feelings, Max and Bear, and A Day with Gram. Each story blends themes of growth, love, and nostalgia with a touch of whimsy and heartfelt emotion. I’m currently working on my next book, The Time-Traveling Toy Chest, a magical adventure that takes readers through history and celebrates connection, courage, and self-discovery.
